Life Saving Support Services Inc (LSSS) is an Australian registered charity established in 2014 to support the work and sustainability of clubs affiliated with the Royal Life Saving Society Queensland (RLSSQ).
Our purpose is to help strengthen the capacity of Royal Life Saving clubs to continue their important work in drowning prevention, lifesaving, water safety and community service.
LSSS raises, receives and manages funds to provide practical support to affiliated clubs and their members. By bringing together fundraising, donations, grants, sponsorship and other sources of financial support, we help clubs access resources that may otherwise be difficult to obtain.
Supporting Royal Life Saving Clubs
LSSS currently supports three Royal Life Saving affiliated clubs:
- Ithaca–Caloundra City Life Saving Club Inc
- Neptune Royal Life Saving Club Inc
- Airlie Beach Life Saving Club Inc
Each club plays an important role in its local community, providing opportunities for people to develop lifesaving skills, participate in aquatic activities, volunteer and contribute to safer communities.
Our role is to support these clubs so they can focus on their people, their programs and their communities.
What We Do
LSSS is focused on providing support in three key areas:
Financial Support
We raise and manage funds that can be made available to affiliated clubs for appropriate purposes. This may include supporting club activities, equipment, facilities, training, programs and other initiatives that contribute to the club’s charitable and community objectives.
Supporting Club Operations
We seek to strengthen the capacity of affiliated clubs by helping them access resources and opportunities that support their ongoing operations and development.
Administrative Support
Where appropriate, LSSS can assist affiliated clubs with administrative and organisational needs, helping volunteers and club leaders focus their time and energy on delivering their important community work.
Your Support Makes a Difference
Royal Life Saving clubs depend heavily on volunteers, members, families and supporters. Behind every patrol, training session, community activity and lifesaving program are people who give their time and skills to help keep others safe.

Our Relationship with Royal Life Saving
Life Saving Support Services Inc is affiliated with the Royal Life Saving Society Queensland Inc, the Queensland branch of the Royal Life Saving movement.
LSSS is a separate charitable organisation established to raise and manage funds and provide support to affiliated Royal Life Saving clubs.
Our work complements the activities of Royal Life Saving and the clubs we support, with a shared commitment to reducing drowning and injury and promoting safety in and around the aquatic environment.
Established in 2014
Life Saving Support Services was established in 2014 with the vision of creating a dedicated organisation that could raise funds and provide additional support to Royal Life Saving clubs.
The organisation was incorporated in Queensland in February 2015 and registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) as a charity shortly afterwards. It subsequently became affiliated with Royal Life Saving Society Queensland.
The organisation’s inaugural annual report identified its initial priorities as establishing the organisation, obtaining the necessary registrations and approvals, developing fundraising activities and creating mechanisms to provide operational, administrative and financial support to affiliated clubs.
More than a decade later, that underlying purpose remains at the heart of Life Saving Support Services.
