Membership and Board
Life Saving Support Services Inc (LSSS) has a close connection with the Royal Life Saving clubs and members it exists to support. Any member of an affiliated club may be accepted as an Associate Member of LSSS, providing an opportunity for club members to be connected with the organisation and its work.
Membership of LSSS is conditional upon maintaining membership of an affiliated club. If a person ceases to be a member of their affiliated club, they also cease to be an associate member of LSSS. This ensures that LSSS remains closely connected to the life saving community and the clubs whose members and activities it supports.
Our Board
The LSSS Board is made up generally of Life Members and long-term members of Royal Life Saving clubs who bring experience, knowledge and a strong understanding of the life saving movement and the needs of affiliated clubs.
Board positions are entirely voluntary and unpaid. Board members receive no remuneration or financial benefit for serving on the Board. They contribute their time, experience and skills because they believe in supporting life saving clubs, volunteers and the broader goal of preventing drowning and promoting water safety.
The Board has responsibility for overseeing the organisation’s governance, financial stewardship and funding decisions, ensuring that funds entrusted to LSSS are managed responsibly and used in accordance with the organisation’s purposes.
